Our Purpose
We believe that children are God’s people and are created in God’s image. We also believe that there is a need in our community to provide any child with a church-sponsored, Christian, early childhood experience and that no child should be excluded. Therefore, we do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age or handicapping condition. Our Imagination Station programs strive to provide the following:
- An atmosphere in which children and teachers live the Christian faith.
- A community outreach program that will increase contact between the church and the community.
- A program in which Christian interpretation underlies learning experiences.
- A hands-on approach that encourages discovery and creativity.
In summary, the goal of Southport United Methodist Church and Imagination Station is to provide an atmosphere in which the whole child may grow and develop: emotionally, spiritually, socially, mentally and physically.
